In the mountainous areas of Mexico (Coahuila) grows Agave parrasana. Offsets grow from relatively young plants forming attractive bluish-green mounds.

The wide succulent leaves of this Agave grow well even in full sun exposure in dry areas. Agave parrasana requires very little water. Agaves usually do well as container plants.

Temperature around 15°F should be tolerated, as Agave parrasana grows wild in high elevations (around 4000'ft). Keep this plant rather dry in Winter.
