Chambeyronia macrocarpa is a large feather-leaf palm which may grow to a height of 50ft or more. This palm is a relatively fast grower when compared with other New Caledonian palms.

C. macrocarpa is popular in cultivation. When a new leaf emerges from the crownshaft it's color is bright red. The color should last for about a week. The leaflets are also very wide and shiny, so even without a new leaf it is a distinctive palm.

You should grow Chambeyronia macrocarpa in partial shade with moist, well-draining soil, and warm temperature year-round. In the wild, this palm may receive up to 140in of rainfall per year.
