Latin Name: Lillium monte_negro
Trade Name: Asiatic Lily 'Monte Negro'
Priced Each: $2.25 (1-bulb)
Estimate Delivery: November 26. 2008

The Asiatic Hybrid Monte Negro Lily, "Lillium", will produce beautiful reddish-orange flowers. This spring planted bulb is perfect for borders, containers or flowerbeds.

There may be as many as 10 star-shaped blossoms per stem. Lilies are very easy to grow and will multiply and naturalize in just about any conditioned environment.

Foliage is narrowly lanceolate (3-inches long, 1/2-inch wide), with trumpet-shaped blooms opening to about a 5-inch spread. The leaves should be allowed to turn yellow and fall off the stalk each year. This will provide the bulb with enough nourishment for next growing season.
